Southern Scenic Route

The Southern Scenic Route takes visitors on roads through the most scenic areas in Otago and Southland. Begininning in Dunedin the route takes coastal roads through Brighton (where you will find the South Seas Gallery) to Milton, Balclutha and on to Invercargill through Owaka and Tokanui.

The Southern Scenic Route continues around the bottom of the South Island through Riverton, Tuatapere and on to Lakes Manapouri and TeAnau. From there you can continue on to Milford Sound.
